Nascar - History of the Sport

NASCAR is actually an acronym for National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. The organization was founded in 1948 by Ed Otto and William France. Both men admitted that the people enjoyed watching car races, and there should be some standardization in the racing industry to attract more users and errands for those who just entered. Having more who were willing to enter the race course, increased the number of supporters who were willing to pay to see - a step in the commercialization of natural resources NASCAR.

During these early years of NASCAR racing, the cars were "strictly stock" in the sense that they were essentially as the manufacturer released them. But few people believe in a crash in the control of racing that some changes in security would be a prudent step. It was not long before other changes have been authorized to increase the speed, handling and other performance issues of race.

After about a decade of this type of racing, those who are serious about the sport began to design cars that were exclusively for racing. In these cases, the cars usually included all the changes authorized by NASCAR officials. For many years, the body of the car will continue to resemble the days of racing stock soon - even if only in appearance.

The fact that so many people are attracted to Nascar was not lost on companies seeking to find advertising opportunities. This period marked the beginning of the history of NASCAR full-time work as drivers, promoters and pit crews of Nascar racing. The first companies have used advertising opportunities were largely automakers, although 1970 saw a significant increase in the number of companies that sponsored racers.

Some who are not tried and true NASCAR fans that there is only a single NASCAR, but the fact is there are various channels sanctioned by the parent. Some of the biggest events on television, and probably this fact that has created the number of fans who follow the sport so closely.

The great number of fans has created many superstars of NASCAR drivers as well. Not just drivers earn their living by racing, many are also the spokesman of products and companies that make their status even more profitable NASCAR.

There is no doubt that NASCAR has a huge success. Most people have heard of Nascar and even those who do not watch the sport can name some of the most successful drivers. It started because two men realized the potential of an organization to control the sport.
